Despite our best efforts we all have left things behind. As a friendly reminder, before you get off of the bus please check the seat and floor around the area where you were seated for any items that you may have dropped. If you do realize after you have gotten off the bus that you are missing something, please contact us right away. Call (815) 937-4287 to report your missing item. Please give a description of the item and what route or routes you may have lost that item on.

Metro will attempt to locate the item. If it is found the same day, the driver will secure the item and you can claim it same day. If it is not claimed same day, the item will be brought to Metro’s Administrative Building, where the item will be held for 30 days to be claimed. The exception to this, is perishable items. All perishable items are destroyed at the end of the service day.
